Randall Dickerson went 85-39 (.685) in the month of April.

Randall Dickerson (rkdicks) of Chadron, Neb., is this month's $2,500 Streak for the Cash winner. Dickerson now holds the all-time record for wins in a month with 85 correct picks in 30 days. The previous best was 82 by James Hensley in December.

Dickerson recorded a .685 winning percentage during the month of April, and his 13 wins during our draft-day stunt pushed him past his fellow contenders. Randall also had a streak of 12 in the middle of the month, which is not too shabby, either.

Down a few picks from the leaders on April 29, Dickerson came roaring back with four consecutive wins on the final day of the month to defeat users JonnieFlash and Smokey's Dawghouse.

In between his hours working the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad, Dickerson spent most of his free time on our Streak board, missing only four game windows total in the entire month.

"My strategy was to pick, pick, pick and pick some more. As soon as I hit 80 wins, I knew I was where I needed to be to make a run, I just needed to finish," said Dickerson.

His knowledge of baseball and basketball helped him out in a big way, as he netted a .692 and .633 winning percentage in each, respectively. But when it came down to other sports, he just went with his gut instinct.

"For a while, most of my picks were at random, but when I went on that 12-game winning streak, I figured I had to be on the leaderboard and I needed to get serious. When I was five or six behind, I started reading the previews for games I planned on picking," added Dickerson.

When the final week of April came around, Dickerson began to get nervous.

"I became extremely nervous when closing in on my win. I had been tied for the lead a few times throughout the month, but I never took sole possession of first until the second-to-last matchup of the month," said Dickerson.

Dickerson was first introduced to Streak for the Cash by his son and instantly got hooked because of the way the game broadened his sports horizons. He also watches ESPN daily and surfs ESPN.com a couple of times a day.

His favorite ESPN show is "Pardon the Interruption" because of the chemistry between the two hosts, Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon. Randall hopes to use his prize money to attend a Nuggets-Lakers Western Conference finals game and save the rest until he needs it for something special. He would like to congratulate his opponents on a month well-played, and his advice for his fellow Streakers is to have a lot of luck on your side when chasing a monthly title.
